Adhesive removal techniques

Removal of breast form adhesive is a task that none of us want to have to do, it takes a lot of time and effort and you have to be really careful not to puncture your forms. Over the years I have punctured my fair share of forms and finally found a way to effectively clean forms and return them to their original state quite easily and with minimal effort.
Many of us have added layer upon layer of glue to the back side of our forms with the belief that more glue will hold fine and with the old glue in place I have a good base for more glue. What it really boils down to is a lack of time or interest in clean up.
What I have been using has proven to be very effective and has not degraded the surface of any of my breast forms in any way. I have had a pair of forms soaking in solution for the past 5 months. (I do freshen the solution to renew it's strength now and then to maintain a strong test) I take them out occasionally to check for any thin spots or dissolving of the cover material. To date, I have no seen, felt or detected any thin spots, no areas that have worn through, nor any dissolving of any of the original forms.
What I do is as follow:
Use a stainless pan with enough depth to accommodate the breast forms lying flat side down without overlapping each other.
Pour Goo Gone directly into the pan with sufficient solution to cover them up to the nipples.
Cover the pan with a towel or Saran Wrap to slow evaporation of the Goo Gone.
The next step is the hardest for most. Let the forms "soak" overnight or longer.
When you are able to return to the forms, place a towel or a pad of paper towels in an area where you can set the cleaned forms down.
Then take 2 or 3 paper towels and spray some Goo Gone onto them.
Remove one breast form at a time from the pan, letting the Goo Gone drip off.
While still damp, take the pad of paper towels with Goo Gone on them and gently wipe the adhesive side of the forms until they shine like new, revealing a perfectly clean surface. On occasion, and when you have had massive buildup of glue, you will have to wipe the backside more than once and renew the Goo Gone on the paper towel pad to remove the dissolved glue.
Using warm or fairly hot water, rinse the forms and apply a generous amount of liquid dishwashing solution to the forms and thoroughly massage the liquid onto the entire surface of the forms, until the soap starts to foam a bit. If the soap does not foam at all, rinse and apply again until you have very squeaky clean forms. Dry them with a clean towel, paper or cloth.
Set them down, nipple side down on the resting area and let them air dry for a bit, then return them to their hiding place.
